Foundational Maths

At Maple School, our Maths curriculum is designed to equip pupils with the mathematical knowledge and skills needed for everyday life, independence and future employment. We recognise that many pupils have gaps in learning or negative experiences of Maths, so our approach prioritises confidence, relevance and real‑life application.

The curriculum focuses on number for life, money, time, measurement and data handling, enabling pupils to develop the mathematical understanding required to manage daily routines, make informed decisions and solve practical problems.
