Our School

Welcome to The Maple School

The Maple School is a specialist secondary provision for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing and ambitious learning environment where every young person is supported to overcome barriers, develop confidence and achieve success both academically and personally.

Our school has been purpose-built to meet the needs of pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). We provide education for up to 48 pupils from Years 6 to 11, offering a personalised approach that recognises the individual strengths, needs and aspirations of each learner.

Learn and Thrive

At the heart of everything we do is our commitment to ensuring that every pupil has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. We understand that many of our students have faced challenges in their educational journey and we work tirelessly to create an environment where they feel valued, understood and able to succeed.

Our highly skilled staff build positive relationships with pupils and families, providing the support, encouragement and structure needed to help young people develop resilience, independence and self-belief.

Therapeutic and Pastoral Support

Supporting pupils' social, emotional and mental health is central to our work. We provide therapeutic interventions and personalised support to help students understand and manage their emotions, develop positive relationships and engage successfully in learning.

We work closely with families, external agencies and professionals to ensure that every pupil receives the support they need to achieve positive outcomes.

Working in Partnership

We believe that education is most effective when schools, families and professionals work together. Strong relationships with parents and carers are fundamental to our success, and we actively encourage open communication and collaboration.

By working together, we ensure that every young person is supported to achieve their full potential and is well prepared for the opportunities and challenges of adult life.
