Maple Portfolio of Qualifications

We believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to achieve recognised qualifications that reflect their individual strengths, aspirations and future ambitions. Our qualification pathway is designed to be flexible, inclusive and ambitious, ensuring that pupils can access qualifications at the right level and at the right time for them, rather than being limited by age or traditional educational pathways.

Our curriculum offers a carefully structured Portfolio of Achievement, comprising Universal, Targeted and Specialist Qualification Offers. This graduated approach allows all pupils to experience success while providing clear progression routes towards more advanced qualifications where appropriate. Through ongoing assessment and personalised support, we identify the most suitable pathway for each learner and ensure they receive the academic, therapeutic and pastoral interventions needed to succeed.

Qualifications span a wide range of areas including English, Mathematics, Science, Physical Development, Personal Development, Employability, Thrive, Life Lessons, Outdoor Learning and Enrichment. Pupils have opportunities to gain nationally recognised qualifications such as Functional Skills, GCSEs, BTEC Awards, AQA Unity Awards, Duke of Edinburgh Awards, King's Trust Qualifications, ASDAN Programmes, Sports Leadership Qualifications, First Aid and Food Hygiene Certifications, alongside bespoke qualification pathways tailored to individual interests and career goals.

For some students, this journey may begin with foundational and entry-level qualifications that build confidence and essential skills. Others may progress to higher-level qualifications including GCSEs and Level 2 awards, or specialist programmes designed around their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes and long-term aspirations.

Our aim is that every pupil leaves us with a meaningful portfolio of qualifications, experiences and achievements that prepares them for the next stage of education, employment, training and adulthood, whilst celebrating the unique talents and potential of every individual learner.
